Spodbujanje inovativnosti
Pozdravljeni.
Inoverzum kljub temu ostaja zvest svojemu poslanstvi »Od idej do realizacije« in upamo, da boste v tokratnem obveščevalniku našli koristne informacije.

dodatnih zaposlitvenih možnosti in povečanja dohodka.

The Future of 4G Technologies: New opportunities and changing business models for the emergence of LTE and WiMAX
Published: June 2010
Technological innovation, including 3G, improved smartphones and multiplay mobile Internet devices (MIDs), has led to a boom in data usage with data traffic surpassing voice traffic for the first time in December 2009. Having nearly trebled in 2008 and 2009, global mobile data traffic is expected to double every year until at least 2013. The wealth of content and mobile applications available to users worldwide puts a strain on mobile networks. Next generation technologies like pre-4G and 4G with their promise of greater speed and spectral efficiency become all the more appealing to the players involved in the ICT value chain. However, the reality is that 80% of mobile connections are still on 2G networks and 3G connections are only available in some areas, even in developed countries, with the exception of a few leading countries. The 4G proposition sounds very promising but its success will ultimately depend on the availability of new spectrum and wide coverage. The many benefits of 4G may also be wasted unless ICT companies find business models that will not only drive adoption but will also help them to increase revenue. This report defines 4G and provides an overview of the trends and drivers behind the shift towards 4G. It also explains how regulatory factors and industry actions may shape the deployment and adoption of the technology. The report examines the similarities and differences between the 4G technology candidates and identifies the threats and opportunities in the new environment for ICT players. Finally, the report examines how leading ICT players are exploiting 4G and how new business models will emerge, setting apart those who stand to lose from 4G and those who have everything to gain.
The Future of Consumer VoIP: Leveraging Internet advances for profitable consumer voice services
Published: June 2010
It is important to distinguish between a profitable business that successfully sells VoIP services and a profitable VoIP business. Successful VoIP businesses are driven by other services the company offers, and by services that align with customers' perceived needs – not by the VoIP business alone. In the early 2000s, telecom industry experts widely expected VoIP to change the dynamics of the voice communications business. But a decade later, the largest providers of consumer Internet voice services are, with one exception, conventional telecommunications companies. Some are pioneers and innovators, some are not. What they do share, however, is a market strategy that doesn't rely solely on price. This report provides an overview of the current state of the consumer VoIP market, examines VoIP business successes and failures, and explores how evolving IP communications – mobility, convergence, femtocells, cloud computing, ultra-fast broadband, and open devices – are opening new opportunities for successful consumer VoIP services.
The Social Networking Market Opportunity: Quantifying market reach, scale and monetization across the value chain, 2010-15
Published: April 2010
The online Social Networking market is emerging from an immature period of competitive dislocation to one of market maturity, in which clear user needs and platform value propositions have emerged, paving the way for incumbency, scalability and successful monetization. Not just another ‘how to make money via social networking; report, 'Monetizing Social Networking' is a thorough examination of the totality of emerging value chains, quantifying commercial opportunities along the value chain. It examines these opportunities in the business / strategic context, whereby there will be a ‘few winners take all’ fall-out. The report will be of major significance to brand owners and marketers, but will also deliver a key business advice and data reference vehicle for all stakeholders in the value chain. 'Monetizing Social Networking' qualifies and quantifies the commercial opportunities that are available and will emerge in the near term in online social networking for brand owners, advertisers, content providers, apps developers, hardware and software providers, as well as the social networking platforms themselves and their user communities. The period between 2010–2012 represents the key near term strategic window in establishing incumbency in the social networking market, and the market is racing towards maturity by 2015.
